Whee normally get fed our nuggets in the morning before the hoomans go off to work and school so, at the due time, in they waddled and filled up our bowls. It was set to be a long day for the peeple at our place as the middle hooman was to perform a play that night. This meant whee didn’t get our normal cuddles until quite late at night. They all came in at 22:00, way past their curfew!
The biggest little hooman, our Mummy, came straight in to check on us. We responded in the appropriate manor and all five of us put our little pink paws up on the side of our carrot-patterned bowls. Which were, by now, empty.
“Ain’t you a greedy lot?” Whee could hear her grumble good-naturedly as she moved between the bowls, topping them up. Even Rosie-Toes hoped to get in on the action and stood on her hindlegs, begging for food.
The greedy guts had been feed only a few hours earlier, plus, she gets rabbit nuggets. Don’t know what she wanted ours for!
The hooman also gave us a top up of ‘bedtime hay’ which whee will, of course, eat before bedding down in the sawdust. She reckons whee have hollow legs, she may well be right!
What can whee say though? Whee are piggies and whee do love our food. Me especially. I’m 5 years old now and still going strong. I hold my place at the foodbowl and the two younger ones have to show me their respect, my greater size does help.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I must get back to my meal. Sleep well, dears, and I am really so sorry about the silence. You know what these hoomans are like, so scatter brained sometimes!
